Jabez Abell, born October 17, 1759 at Norwich, Conn. In 1794, moved to Cazenovia, Oneida Co., N.Y. where he died March 3, 1833. He married Elizabeth, January 18, 1795 in the Cong. Church of Franklin, Conn., daughter of Joseph and Bethia (Lathrop) Sandford of Portsmouth, R.I. She was born October 14, 1762 died February 21, 1846.

He was a soldier or sailor of the Revolution and also confined a prisoner on the ship "Jersey" in N. Y. harbor.

Horatio Abell, born August 8, 1802 at Cazenovia, N. Y.; died there May 30, 1852; married January 29, 1835, Aurilla Whitney, daughter of Ebenezer Whitney, born October 2, 1800 at Old Hadley, Conn., died January 20, 1895.

Jabez William Abell, born at Cazenovia (now), Madison County, New York, September 13, 1841; died at same place July 22, 1920; married September 27, 1866 Mary Ann, daughter of Thomas and Olive (Hall) Jones, born February 23, 1839 at Cazenovia, N. Y., died August 4, 1899. Mr. J. W. Abell inherited the homestead near Cazenovia which was "taken-up" and settled by his grandfather and namesake in 1793 and which has passed down and now is in the possession of his son, Jabez William, 3rd.
Jabez William, b. Nov. 19, 1870; m. Sept. 6, 1924 at Cazenovia, N. Y. Sarah Wheeler, b. Feb. 4, 1874, a descendant of John B. Wheeler.
